01 /Overview

Catch self-referrals before you pay for them.

Every lead, payment and login is checked against the affiliate's own emails, devices and networks. Self-referrals are rejected automatically, duplicate accounts wait for approval, and affiliates with open high-severity flags can't be paid until you review them.

02 /How it works

How fraud detection works, step by step.

  1. 1

    Fingerprint

Devices are fingerprinted in the browser, served from your API so no third party sees the visitor, and only after consent.

  2. 2

    Match

Leads and payments are compared with the affiliate's login and payout emails in any spelling, their devices and their networks.

  3. 3

    Act

Self-referrals are rejected, duplicates wait for approval, and high-severity flags hold payouts.

03 /In depth

Everything you need to know about fraud detection.

Self-referrals in any spelling

[email protected], [email protected] and the affiliate's payout email are all the same person. So is a customer on one of the affiliate's devices, or the affiliate's own customer account with you. Whichever check fires first (lead, payment, late fingerprint, or the affiliate logging in later) rejects the referral and its unpaid commissions.

Duplicate accounts and signup floods

Two affiliates logging in from one device, a public signup with another spelling of an existing email, more signups from one network in a day than your limit, or a recruit signing up from their recruiter's network: all flagged, and the alias waits for approval.

Farm-resistant pay-per-click and pay-per-lead

Click rewards count each visitor once a day and never bots or reloads. One network brings an affiliate at most three rewarded clicks and three rewarded signups a day, so one person with many accounts gets little more than one person.

You stay in control

Confirm a flag to reject the referral's commissions, claw back paid ones and optionally block the affiliate. Dismiss restores a blocked referral. Every automatic action can be switched off under Fraud settings.

04 /FAQ

Questions about fraud detection.

Will legitimate customers get blocked?

Only clear matches block automatically. A customer on the affiliate's network is flagged low and never blocked, and a fingerprint seen with more than five different people is only flagged, since identical phones can match.

Is device fingerprinting GDPR friendly?

The fingerprint script is served from your own API, runs only for referred visitors and only after consent when consent mode is on, and anonymous logging to third parties is off.

What about refunded purchases made to hit a bonus?

Goals only count confirmed, mostly-kept sales, so refunded purchases never unlock tiers or bonuses, and bonuses already paid on them are clawed back.
